About
Who I am
I’m a Senior Data Engineer and Analytics Engineer based in Rio de Janeiro, with 6+ years of experience building and scaling data platforms in complex, business-critical environments.
My work goes beyond writing pipelines. I design architectures, define governance standards, make technical decisions under real constraints, and take long-term ownership of the platforms I build. I’ve led greenfield implementations from scratch defining every layer from ingestion to analytics and I’ve optimized environments that were already in production and under pressure.
Most of my experience sits in the Microsoft Azure ecosystem: Microsoft Fabric, Databricks, Azure Data Factory, Synapse. I’ve worked with financial data, sales analytics, SAP integrations and real-time ingestion always in environments where reliability is not optional.
What I’ve done
At Stanley 1913 I built the entire LATAM data platform from zero using Microsoft Fabric. That meant defining the architecture, setting governance and data quality standards, designing ingestion pipelines for 10+ sources, leading a distributed team of contractors, and acting as the main technical point of contact between local and global teams. One of the highlights was a SAP metadata-driven pipeline that made onboarding new tables a matter of minutes instead of weeks.
At Microsoft I worked on migrating a financial forecasting program from R to PySpark and SQL Server cutting execution time from 6 hours to 40 minutes and replacing a manual, error-prone process with a fully automated and integrated solution.
At Ambev I owned the Market Intelligence data pipelines, including Nielsen sales data used as the official sellout baseline for 10+ teams. I built a proactive data quality monitor with Teams notifications, optimized a pipeline that was keeping business teams waiting until 11am every morning (it now delivers by 4am), and led a data lake cleanup that reduced storage from 5TB to 3.5TB.
How I work
I act as a bridge between business and engineering. I’m comfortable talking architecture with a data team and translating requirements with a finance or commercial stakeholder in the same meeting. I care about costs, performance, governance and sustainability not just delivery.
I’m interested in environments where data is treated as a strategic asset and senior engineers are expected to influence decisions, not just execute them.
